Not “GREAT!”, but, overall, a “Very Good” holiday weekend for work around the house.

Saturday, Carole and DeShawn went to the zoo in Columbia, leaving me to cut toe molding for the west upstairs bedroom. The new Porter-Cable router and Benchdog table work very, very well and are capable of much better craft than I. We shaped more than enough molding for the bedroom and new closet; got it sanded, primed, and first coat of paint in a little less than 3 hours.

On the way home from getting a burger, I picked up a couple of doors left for trash by the roadside. By my last count, only one more (a 24″ one) door is needed to completely replace all the 1970’s hollow core “flaps” currently in place.

Today, I mowed the front yard and put the second coat of primer on the east side front dormer sidewall.  The east and west sidewalls now match.

East dormer sidewall before beginning any repairs.

West dormer sidewall after finishing all repairs.

2 roof leaks down, 3 more to go.
